Gag Reflex is hard at work helping push Seattle's most interesting sonics to the front via her transfeminist BLOOM parties at Timbre Room and her own artistic practice, both as a DJ and as a producer. The Fae rings like a very personal ode to off-kilter rave, where broken rhythm patterns are completed with intriguing pacing and melodies that are euphoric and inventive in equal measures - even echoes of post-punk emerge, reminding us that diy is never not the source of it all.
